How much does boot camp cost? Please see our pricing page for details on cost. Where is boot camp located? There are several classes all over the Greater Houston Area and we are always growing. Scroll over our Locations tab to see all Houston Area Adventure Boot Camp locations and click on the location to see the address and directions. How often will we meet? How often we meet will depend on how often you want to attend. There are classes each day of the week so if you are willing to travel, you could attend classes up to 6 days a week but most location times meet 2-4 days a week. Classes are offered at different times and locations and scheduled for different days Monday – Saturday. All participants will be expected to arrive on time. What is the sign-up process? You will complete the form on this site. Go to the Calendar and Registration page and pay after you have completed the registration process. What time do we meet? Each location is different so please check your class time under the Location tab because start times and days vary. What does boot camp include? Camp will include a combination of cardio and strength training. Each individual will work at their level but will be pushed to their individual limits. Some days will include equipment brought in by the trainer while other days will simply be body weight exercises or exercises that utilize your mat and weights. What happens in inclement weather? Your boot camp instructor will provide specific instructions for handling these days. You should never assume boot camp is canceled. Most of the time class will be held in inclement weather unless it is a danger to get there. Instructors will keep the class informed. Can I attend any location? Yes. You will register for a “home location” but you can attend any of them. Just email us to let us know what other locations you might attend so we can inform the trainers. Are there shower facilities, or a place I can get ready for work? You can always use such facilities as the YMCA, 24 Hour Fitness, Bally’s etc., in the area if you have a membership at any of these clubs. Since boot camp is held primarily outside, we do not offer shower facilities. Will I be sore sometimes? Camp will include a combination of cardio and strength training. Each individual will work at their level but will be pushed to their individual limits. Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. It’s part of the process that lets you improve! What kinds of people go to camp? They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Most campers have some history of exercise, but it’s not required…remember, ALL FITNESS LEVELS ARE ACCEPTED and ENCOURAGED! Is there a refund policy? No. There are NO REFUNDS. We can only give you a credit towards another boot camp if you are unable to continue with the one you began because of circumstance beyond your control. This credit is nontransferable. Credit is not given towards private training. There is no cash refund. What should I eat before boot camp? You should try to eat at least 2 hours before coming to boot camp if possible. However, if you are attending the 5am sessions, it would be best not to eat before coming to boot camp (unless you get up at 2:30am). Eating right before coming to boot camp can cause cramping or a heavy feeling in the stomach. If you must eat a little something, try drinking an Advocare Spark Energy Drink or Rehydrate Drink before class or having a little bit of fruit or piece of toast. What is a typical day like at camp? That’s difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect sports drills, yoga/pilates-type mat work, some running, weight training, obstacle courses, jumping rope and more each week. It’s always an adventure, and you’ll always have fun! The instructors teach you a great deal about proper form and “core stability.” How soon will I see results? Performance improvement can take place in as little as three days. “Visual Improvement” can take from two to four weeks depending on your effort level. It’s becoming common to see as much as 3-8 pounds of weight loss after the first week. Remember, everyone is different! What if my friend wants to join after I have started? We have a “bring a friend day”. Invite your family and friends who want to give boot camp a try. Please inquire about which days you can bring someone to visit with us. For late registration, we can prorate the remaining days with a small penalty fee. What will I do after camp is over? Many (up to 75%) of the campers return for subsequent camps. Remember, classes are never the same so you will continue to improve and evolve. You’ll quickly become part of the family. Contact us for more details!
