BEST THING I EVER DID…
I was morbidly obese on my first day of bootcamp. Difficult words to write, but at 5’4 and 251 pounds, it was the truth. I considered having lap band surgery, but I really wanted to give exercise and healthy eating one more try. I began bootcamp April 2006. My weight came off slow but consistent. But I lost 109 pounds in under 2 years. Now I am working on toning and participating in new adventures like duathlons and learning to swim for triathlons. At one time I was the last person in class but I was good with that. It meant I showed up! Karen had always been there to cheer me on (as well as other people in the class), give me other exercises when I could not keep up (in a discreet way) and pushed me to limits I thought I could not achieve. DO NOT think you cannot do bootcamp if you are very overweight. I could barley walk around the track but now I can jog miles. Karen has also given me direction with my caloric needs and helped me with my food choices. So I take 1 day at a time, trying to make most good choices along the way as I have learned that you can cheat a little and still feel ok about yourself.
GAINED STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE
The boot camp changed what I do and put into my body. I eat better and I actually enjoy working out now. The first week of the boot camp I could barely run 2 laps let alone a mile. Now after 4 weeks of training I can run a mile and a half. I have lost inches, gained endurance and serious muscle in my arms. My attitude is better and my husband says I look great. I feel great and look forward to future boot camps.

JUMPSTART MY REGULAR ROUTINE
My workouts consisted of a daily workout routine, and routine it was! I needed something completely different from my current regimen that would motivate and inspire me while pushing me to my limits and allowing for fun at the same time. CHANGED MY LIFE
Boot Camp! What can I say… It has changed my life. I became friends with the ladies, along with the trainers, and there is such camaraderie that I actually started looking forward to getting up at 4:30am everyday. I used muscles that I never even knew I had. It is a total fitness, full body workout. I am 46 years old and feel better than I have in years.
It was the best decision I have ever made and worth every penny I have spent, and then some. I can’t wait for the next one!!!!
